The evidence of benefit for such supplementation is huge, the likelihood of harm is miniscule, but people getting well or staying well by taking supplements is encroaching on pharmaceutical sales. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the regulatory agency for drugs AND the lapdog of the pharmaceutical industry, is working in conjunction with other special-interest groups to make easy access to supplements a thing of the past.
