Acidophilus and related
species
are the “friendly” gut bacteria,
naturally-occurring bacteria of the colon that help protect us from many
conditions including candidiasis, allergies, constipation, and
B12
vitamin deficiency. These good bacteria are damaged or destroyed by
dietary imbalances, antibiotics and other drug use. Replacement of good
bacteria results in improved colon function. Lactobacillus
acidophilus is the
best known probiotic species, but there are many other “friendly species”
native to the GI tract.

at room temperature. Enteric coating protects bacteria against destruction

Dr. Myatt's comment: A combination of different strains of the
"good" bacteria that normally inhabit the intestinal tract. The "mixed"
bacteria formula is preferred over lactobacillus alone since the GI tract
normally has a "mix" of good bacteria. Enteric coating is most
important! This protects the bacteria from being destroyed by stomach acid
and allows them to be released in the large intestine. Many other
bacterial formulas do little good because they do not make a safe journey
to the colon. Please note: If you need to supplement
GI bacteria, using acidophilus milk or yogurt alone isn't enough! One (1) Capsule provides:
