Huperizine (Huperzia serrata)
"Memory Moss" for Memory Loss
Huperizine, or Chinese Club moss, contains a substance (Huperizine
A) which prevents the breakdown of acetylcholine in the brain.
Acetylcholine is a neurotransmitter necessary for memory function. The
most promising drugs for Alzheimer’s disease work in the same manner,
although Huperizine appears to have a more precise mechanism whereby it
protects acetylcholine. Huperizine is useful for:
- Alzheimer’s disease
- Memory loss (non-Alzheimer’s)
Suggested dose:
- For Alzheimer’s: 50mcg, 2 times per day, morning and evening with
meals.
- For Memory Loss: 50mcg once per day in the
morning with breakfast.
Huperizine 50 mcg - Product # 2305 (60 Capsules)
